Our official X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook accounts will finally go live on 1 May at 12:00 AM.

This has taken a bit longer than planned because we were waiting on the platform support team to get back to us and process the request. We wanted to make sure everything was properly set up from the start, so there were no issues and no chance of fake or copycat accounts speaking on our behalf.

From launch time onward, these will be our only official social media pages. We’ll be using them to share updates, new content, and announcements in real time, alongside the website.

The X (Twitter) logo

The design is based on the Iraqi flag, but with a simple adjustment: the central text has been replaced with our Iraqi Insider logo. I chose this approach because it keeps a clear connection to Iraq while also giving the page its own identity. The idea wasn’t to overdesign anything, but to keep it familiar and recognizable. I welcome any new suggestions!

The Facebook Page logo

Facebook is where we’ll have a more direct connection with our audience — people usually reach us there through shared links, messages, and community pages. So I wanted this design to feel very clear and easy to recognize, something that immediately tells people they’ve reached the right place.

I chose red because it naturally stands out and feels direct. It’s meant to grab attention quickly and signal that what you’re seeing is important or time-sensitive.
